I read this in my elementary school gifted and talented class (what a ludicrous name for a class for children btw) and I remember I threw a fit I hated it so much. I think I love this even more as an adult than I did as a child! Beautiful story about the healing powers of nature and our ability to change for the better. I read this with my 10yo son and he loved it too.
