Only giving three stars because i didn’t love it quit as much as I love Tessa Bailey’s other books, something was making it a littler harder to get through. But it absolutely left me feeling in a warm and fuzzy Christmas mood. I love Aidens character and now I am off to buy matching Christmas robes for me and my husband!

Look. This was just not good. First of all, it’s set in some fantasy post-pandemic world which was just annoying. It’s a romance novel, you don’t need to mention it. Second, it was the worst kind of romance novel twee. Just ridiculous “and then everyone clapped” type stuff. Also the sex scenes were hilarious, which was probably not what was intended.

I am sad to admit that my last Christmas reading of this year was an utter disappointment. What on earth is this?

To start with, there is a huge insta-love and a nonexistent enemies-to-lovers trope. And what is the result of a romance book whose romance sucks? Yes, a disaster.

This wasn't cute, this wasn't cosy, this wasn't believable for me.
