I can’t believe the series is over. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye, but this book was the perfect way to revisit this world and gain a deeper understanding of one of the most incredible characters ever written—Tobias Eaton. Tobias isn’t just tough as nails; he’s also sensitive. He’s not just loving; he’s deeply caring. Seeing the story unfold through his perspective added so much depth to the main series, making the narrative come to life in ways I hadn’t expected. His first encounter with Tris? My gosh, my romantic heart was all aflutter! These behind-the-scenes moments gave me a fresh appreciation for Tobias’s journey—his struggles, his choices, and the weight he carried long before we met him in Divergent. It was an amazing read and a beautiful, emotional farewell to a beloved character.

Kazdopadne posledni tri povidky s Tris jsou fakt lrasny a smutny zaroven, kdyz si uvedomime ten konec. I kdyz je velmi krasny sledovat jak se do ni postupne zamilovává 🤗
Za me pekna oddechovka a aspon trosku zlepseni toho smutneho a spatneho konce Divergence ☺️

Doesn't necessarily offer anything new, but I'm an unashamed fangirl.
It was so lovely to see this from Tobias' point of view and to see how he felt about Tris. I loved his friendship with Zeke and Shauna and I'm so glad we got to understand more about him and get a proper insight. Still heartbroken but an amazing book.

This book isn't exceptional. It's another book that seems to scream that the author is trying to squeeze more money out of a popular series. I didn't hate it. At least it did what the other three books in the series couldn't; it made me care about Four/Tobias. I still don't think he's right for Tris (especially the Tris in the first book,) but at least hearing about Marcus and Evelyn from his point of view made me sympathize with him, rather than just pitying him (while still disliking him) like I did in the other books. Seriously though, why didn't he tell Tris's parents that Abnegation was going to be attacked? They would have believed him. Instead he just slunk back to Dauntless without making sure that someone who would believe him was aware of the danger. Why even bother having him know if he wasn't even going to meet with Tris's parents or otherwise do something useful?
It was definantly very interesting to read the prequel and the first couple of meetings with tris from Tobias perspective. They were short but I liked them. Now I just have to wait for the DVD release here in Germany!
