I really like Four, so I like hearing from his voice. In Allegiant I feel like it became to similar to Tris'. And to be honest, I felt like his character changed, didn't like it as much. I much prefer earlier four, and therefore, these stories from the first book and prior. There was still some repetition and overlap. And some of Four's actions and logic are stupid reminiscent of my complaints about later books. But still enjoyable.

This was pretty good, especially because it all takes place before or during the events of Divergent, which was the best of the three books.

~4.5 stars~

very solid contribution to a crumbling (world-building wise) saga

After the grief and pain of Allegiant, this is a breath of fresh air.

How Four started out in Dauntless, finding his way and trying to leave who he was behind. Why he got his Abnegation result on the test.

Then a few glimpses of him first meeting Tris, that makes me want to read Divergent again. Though I don’t think I’m strong enough to read Allegiant again, if there is a next time through the series.
