I have just finished reading the book "Four". This book is not part of the Divergent series but it is a collection book. I really liked this book because it included four stories about Four. These stories took place before the first book in the series (Divergent). I would definitely read this book again because it gave me so much information I didn't know about some of the characters. If you are interested about this book, read the Divergent series first so you can understand the book better.

This was a good collection of the novellas. If you liked Tobias and want his pov this is the book for you. The first two were the best because they were new stories, however the second two overlap with divergent.

I really enjoyed getting Four's perspective. With The Transfer, I enjoyed seeing how his aptitude test and what his result was, even if the result may have been altered. I also saw Tobias in a different way with Four chose his faction. However, in the beginning, he didn't want to be a fighter and he didn't want to socialize with others. We see from Four's perspective when he finds out about the term divergent.
I knew from the other books that Tobias was offered a leadership role, but I didn't know the real reason why he didn't become a leader. It was interesting to see how he met his mom after seven years. I liked seeing where his back tattoo came from. I also learned that it was Eric's idea about the new initiation process. Four also was very resistant to the new process Max wanted to incorporate.
I enjoyed how in the fourth part of Four, Veronica Roth connected us to the beginning of Divergent. I enjoyed seeing Four's perspectives and Four's thoughts. We got to see how Four viewed the relationship between him and Tris. We really got a sense of how Four felt.
Throughout this story collection, there was a lot of foreshadowing to the other books in the trilogy, which I really enjoyed. I liked seeing Four's perspective, what he was like before he met Tris, and what he was like after he met Tris. I ENJOYED SEEING WHAT HAPPENED BEFORE THE ACTUALLY TRILOGY STARTED AND WHAT HAPPENED AS THE TRILOGY STARTS.
