I actually like the idea of telling the same story twice from different perspectives - but this book only does that for a small portion of the overall content. A section takes place during Divergents content, but the majority functions as a decent prequel that I found good.

It was an awesome experience to re read divergent from four's perspective,it made me get him more, i enjoyed the stories behind his tattoo, his name and his transference which made me connect with him more.
The most beautiful parts of this book are when four describes his feelings towards Tris! flawless ❤!
I think my favorite part was when Amar announced tobias's fears number, i was happy that he was getting respect in dauntless the way he deserves.

I loved Divergent and recommended it to so many of students for years, and still do. However, I think the trilogy stinks. Insurgent and Allegiant don't compare to Divergent. They were written as money makers, in my book. Both are drawn out, slow and outright boring for most of the books. This book, Four, was ok. It was a bit of a summary of Divergent, but I was hoping for more of the relationship between Tobias and Tris. This really just focused on how Four came to the Dauntless faction and learned that he was divergent.
