This feels like Buffy should, but as a volume this was quite uneventful. Yes, she faced almost certain death and potentially has someone coming after her in the future...but nothing too exciting. Or maybe it's a good thing that nothing really epic happened? I guess what I'm saying is that my review of this is a head nod and a slight shrug.
I liked how the 2nd half was about a teenaged gay couple deciding to become a watcher and slayer. Woot diversity!

Buffy finally makes a career change to private bodyguard. But deep down, she is still the Slayer, a line in the darkness. Which will she choose? Money or mission?
New job, new life? Not for Buffy, I like that she is true to herself. Also the new recruit is a nice story, hopefully we see more of him.
A little too straightforward for me. I also wasn't enthusiastic about the only actual slayer left in the world playing bodyguard when there are a crap ton of vampires/zompires to be slain.
