I almost didn't want this crazy train to pull into the station! What does it say about me that my favorite books in this series have been with the two psychotic of the MMC's? I loved Kill and I love Lan! I really enjoyed reading about Lan and Mia's story. Though whew, that was some heavy stuff to deal with at the end. I definitely did not pick up on that little side quest we went on. Like how did that even happen? Lan is out here just getting beat up. Like almost the entire book. The guys from the previous books (minus Niko) definitely gave him some bruising he isn't going to forget soon (he definitely kept reminding us). There is a character in this book that I didn't expect to hate so much. Like....I know that others have forgiven them for what they have done. But legit, it would take me years in order to get over what they did. I was a little in shock. Like the other books though, this one builds on the events that we see happening around some of the other characters and gives us a view of how it looks from the current characters eyes. I really, really love that about this series. It makes everything not only feel connected but you can kinda see how the dominoes are starting to fall one by one with everyone in this book. I can't wait to see the behind the scenes of things in the next book. These two characters are going to be so exciting! I can't wait!
The spice in this book was pretty good. I mean what else could we expect from Landon FREAKING King! So I have to give it a 4 out of 5 for the spice. Overall, I enjoyed this book. The only thing that left me feeling a little meh, was the fact that we didn't get to see more of the inner workings of Landon. I wanted to see how he came up with some of the ideas for his escapades with the other characters. Instead we got more of how he came to terms with things with his siblings and Mia, which was definitely good, I just think that would have added a little more flavor to the story. If God of Malice was your favorite in this series up til this point, then you will definitely love God of Ruin. Dark romance lovers, this should be your flavor of the week! Definitely high on my recommend list!
dark tense

mia’s amazing. i still don’t like landon. getting to this book is when the series is feeling a bit repetitive with the dynamics of the characters. still a good read
that bs at the same ne with maya was so unnecessary

I am completely consumed by this series and God of Ruin lived up to all my expectations. Landon and Mia’s story was perfect, they’re both unhinged in their own ways but put together they balance each other out and bring out the best in one another.

Rina Kent’s character development for Lan was amazing, we went from seeing him as a heartless psycho (especially from others perspectives in the previous books) to understanding that he just shows emotions and cares for people in a different way. An intense and scary way, but come on that’s what we love in RK’s MMC’s by this point.

Mia was also so sweet but a badass at the same time. Reading about her letting her guard down bit by bit and allowing Lan to make her feel safe and wanted was beautiful.

I cannot wait for the next two books to come in the series. This series has to be one of my favourites ever and if you haven’t picked this up yet, I don’t know what you’re doing.
