I think each book in the series has been getting better than the last. Still not an overall fan of this series but I liked this one. It was overall a solid read. I think the plot was decent Mia overcoming her trauma and finding her voice again was a well done character arch. Landon learning what love means to him and the lengths he’d go to to keep it. A lot less spice in this book, they go thru some kinks in the beginning but this was more plot focused then the previous which I feel worked well. One of my main complaints about this series as a whole is the inconsistencies of side charters/previous book characters. In GOM -Book1 Killian is very serious and unfeeling and they compare him and Landon a lot. To see Killian joking around, and caring about Mya was weird. Outside of his mother he cared about no one. Even when the guys tried to joke with him he’d shove them off and threaten them. So he was a lot more playful and cared in this book which was odd considering he’s supposed to be a literal psychopath . Nikolai was so serious in this book. In the previous books he’s the fun loving blood thirsty fly off the handle but enjoying the ride kinda guy he came off so serious in his book which I didn’t like didn’t fit what we were told previously about him. Then Landon in the book 1 was so cold and detached his siblings would run away from him and didn’t want to be around him in the third book GOW he was playful and joking he had outside friendships with Cecily & Ava which is weird if he’s so cold his own siblings don’t want to be around him but he can form these relationships to the point Cecily had a crush on him. He was joking and playful nothing like the stoic man we were sold then in the series. They constantly compared him to Killian hardcore but they are literally nothing alike. Killian had consent issues where Landon respected consent. Landon was pretentious, egotistical, self serving and self absorbed. Where Killian had the attitude he was going to do what he pleased and only fight his darker impulses to spare his mother and Glyn but he didn’t even care enough to put on a front for society like Landon. I just think her characters have a completely different tone throughout the series.

Wow, I listened to God of Fury first and I was sorely disappointed by this. "Anarchy" Lan? "Baby Satan" Mia? The descriptions of his "genius masterpiece" sculptures that sound like anime girl figurines?
All of the kinks that are either initially rape (that's not how you introduce somnophilia), dangerous (you don't use a belt for breath play unless you're trying to murder someone), done in a way ensuring a trip to the hospital (you don't put anything in your butt that doesn't have a flared end), or just not based in reality (it doesn't drip down you leg that fast).
