I thought this one would be my least favorite, but it actually made me like Landon a little bit more. He's still by far the most insane of all the men, but this book humanizes him a bit and makes him more likable. This one was probably a little darker than the others books in this series so far, but it was still good. I'm completely invested in all the characters now.

Woah.... I cheated.
Long story short, I kind of read this one at the same time as I was reading God of Fury because I grabbed the audiobook while waiting for my copy to arrive, but I'm a slow audiobook reader and well, I already owned God of Fury, and I was so in the mood for it... so I finished God of Fury first (sorry not sorry). But in the end I think it was for the best!
You see, Landon was probably my least favourite MMC in this series. But this was up until I saw more of him and understood him better in God of Fury. So when I went back to this book knowing what I knew, I was way more ready to love him! And yep, it worked well.
Landon and Mia had something absolutely beautiful together, I don't know why I found it so satisfying to watch them interact. Landon went from full on narcissist bitch to finally letting someone in and let himself actually care about that other person. He started making efforts to be better and make this work, I was surprised by him in such a good way. I will never get over all he did, I was honestly melting to the floor. I have loved Mia since the first time we saw her. She is such a badass but still fragile in so many ways. It made me beyond happy to see these two have such an enjoyable relationship progression.
I obviously knew some of the things that would happen in this one because of my bad habit of reading books in the wrong order, but it didn't take anything from this book. I still enjoyed it all, and I found myself devouring this story!
Last thing, I'm going to be honest, most people are complaining that all the books in this series are too similar, and yeah I can see it, but also, I'm someone who will read the books I love multiple times so do I care? Nope. Your argument is invalid. Like why would I complain, I get that vibe I love so much, the tension, the hate to love, the angst and all, and I'm super happy, it works every time, thank you very much.
On that note, I got my copy of God of War earlier this week, and I'm super excited but also sad to eventually finish this series. Such a bittersweet feeling!
