A great read. Very readable and quite interesting to explore the what ifs! Essentially a crime novel / detective novel but with several more layers.

Thoughtful alternative history; well written and paced.

An alternate-history masterpiece.

The book tells a beautifully crafted story, interweaving fact and fiction seamlessly.

Not a book I would have normally picked up to read. I enjoyed the characters and for people with more interest and knowledge regarding WWII I'm sure they would have appreciated the attention to detail.

I started to read this only to discover that I had read it before. Whether or not I had a) read it all b) read this first few chapters and stopped or c) none of the above remains unknown.

It doesn't seem great enough to justify reading again (potentially) but not bad enough to be marked as abandoned. Three stars it is.

Well-written, but was expecting a more original "big idea" on which the plot would hinge, I would certainly consider reading his other novels.
