Better than the first book but why are the men so possessive!!! Another man simply exists and he’s a threat to your partner?? Gross trope IMO. I liked the relationship built between these two compared to first book. If Rhys and Bridget ended up being cousins I would’ve closed the book right then and there. Still soap opera writing with predictable storylines. The slow burn is what saved this one.

3.5 only a tad bit better than Twisted Love. Story line was pretty decent but the spice was cringe.

Rhys is my man. Done deal lol love a grumpy body guard!

I said this with the first book and I’m going to say it again, the audiobook was not for me. She sounds like she’s whispering the whole time.

So this was… okay.

There were some parts I liked… although I don’t think I can quite recall them now to list them. And some things that were so OTT and terribly cliche. I feel like the obsessiveness of Rhys felt too forced for me. And it made me a bit uncomfortable that HE was the one who ended up pushing for their relationship when Bridget became uncomfortable in the second act.

The chemistry between them also felt a tad forced. Maybe I need to read the first book.

The plot points were also pretty cliche but overall as an audiobook experience this was not too bad - I liked how it was two narrators.
