Wasn't the worst thing I have read, and I can see the appeal, but books like this aren't for me.
Rhys was a million times better (less toxic and emotionally healthy) than Alex will ever be. The government is confusing, as this country has both a monarch and a Parliament, but the monarch ultimately calls the shots. I was confused, but it was still an okay time.

First things first, I found this book so much better than the first one and I'm really happy I gave it a go!
Things I liked:
The slow burn in this lasted a lot longer than Twisted Love and it was a little more realistic. Rhys has some amazing qualities that make him the ultimate book boyf and he is the perfect match for princess Bridget! The addition of found family was a nice touch too.
Things I didn't like:
While enjoyable, this was a very predictable story. I was able to guess a lot of the twists and events which took away from some of the excitement. The time jumps also felt like an easy out at points, and that I was being told rather than shown what was happening.
Overall:
I liked the pacing and the characters, which is what made this such an easy read. This is a very good book if you want a steamy romance to fill the gap between larger reads! However, I won't be rushing to read the third one.

i really liked this book, i loved the characters. but what i loved even more was the plot. i did not expect it to get so complicated but in a way i loved it.

This was leagues better than the first book! This was like the Princess Diaries 2 but smutty. I liked the chemistry between the leads and the way the story moved in this one. Still had cringy moments but this was quite fun.
