I absolutely LOVED this book! It did a great job at tying in a swooning romance and a realistic mental health/relationship struggle all in one. There was a good mix of traditional traditional “romantic” moments (nothing too cringy) combined with a very real edge where I could truly see Emma and Justin’s story playing out in real time. I appreciate a book that is rooted in human struggle, but can come out on the other side with a happy ending that doesn’t seem too stretched. I fell in love with all of the characters in this book, especially Emma, Justin, and Maddy. Justin was the epitome of a perfect male lead, and now I want one for myself 🤣. A great summer read that also made me appreciate the state of Minnesota. Highly recommend!!

I'd say that Abby Jimenez should pay for my therapy after this, but this was my therapy ❤️

I adored everything about "Just for the Summer." Listening to this on audio was such a great experience. I really mean it when I say I both laughed out loud and sobbed cathartic tears. The performances from Christine Lakin and Zachary Webber were outstanding.

I really enjoyed Part of Your World, which is why I picked this one up from Book of the Month. Wow! This was great! I absolutely loved the chemistry between Justin and Emma, their conversations do such a good job of showing how compatible they are as people. It was so fun to see the connections and Easter eggs from Part of Your World, I'm sure I missed some from Yours Truly and I'll have to read that one as well. There are definitely some darker topics covered in this story, so I recommend checking the content warnings, but if you're a contemporary romance reader I think you'd probably enjoy this!

Abby Jimenez never misses. This book warmed my heart, then ripped it out and stomped all over it, then put it back in a thousand times over. If you have mommy issues, make sure you think long and hard about whether you’re ready to think about them because this book will really give you something to think about. Emma and Justin had a sweet, simple bond that I think spoke to the message of the book. Something uncomplicated between them in their extremely complicated lives. At any rate, this book is an emotional rollercoaster, but Jimenez treats it with beautiful, tender care.
