I absolutely LOVED this book! It did a great job at tying in a swooning romance and a realistic mental health/relationship struggle all in one. There was a good mix of traditional traditional “romantic” moments (nothing too cringy) combined with a very real edge where I could truly see Emma and Justin’s story playing out in real time. I appreciate a book that is rooted in human struggle, but can come out on the other side with a happy ending that doesn’t seem too stretched. I fell in love with all of the characters in this book, especially Emma, Justin, and Maddy. Justin was the epitome of a perfect male lead, and now I want one for myself 🤣. A great summer read that also made me appreciate the state of Minnesota. Highly recommend!!

This book is really pretty. I like the way the male and female main characters are written and the plot of the story. I don’t know why it took me so long to make connections to the other two books, but when I did, everything made so much more sense. I loved the way the story circled back in on itself to make all the other books connect to this one. I felt a connection with Emma because mom-trauma and I understood her deep desire to fix her cracks. I don’t know how anyone picks a favorite from this series — they’re all so good in different ways. None of the stories are alike, and lots of romance authors have a set recipe they use for a book that makes them all similar, so I found that really refreshing. There was a little spice but again, not too much. I think all of Jimenez’s books have so many nuggets of wisdom and truth about love, family, and relationships. I can’t wait to read more of her work.

I read this book after a friend recommended it, and I was not disappointed. This was one of the most genuinely funny and least cringey/cheesy romances I’ve read. I saw myself in Maddy, and I liked both Emma and Justin.

My biggest critique is that the word “small” was used too much toward the end.

I really enjoyed Part of Your World, which is why I picked this one up from Book of the Month. Wow! This was great! I absolutely loved the chemistry between Justin and Emma, their conversations do such a good job of showing how compatible they are as people. It was so fun to see the connections and Easter eggs from Part of Your World, I'm sure I missed some from Yours Truly and I'll have to read that one as well. There are definitely some darker topics covered in this story, so I recommend checking the content warnings, but if you're a contemporary romance reader I think you'd probably enjoy this!

I’m just not really into reading about MC’s who repeatedly state that they don’t have trauma and don’t need therapy (while actively harming those around them due to their severe trauma) in the year of our lord 2024.

CW: INSANE PARENTAL TRAUMA FROM BOTH MOTHERS OF THE MCs! THIS IS NOT A CUTE SUMMERY ROM-COM!!!
