Well, Abby has done it again. She makes you laugh, want to cry, fall in love, gasp and then it all starts over again. I swear, she has a way of making my heart long for success of a fake relationship like no one else. Let’s start with the characters. I immediately feel in love with both the male and female main characters. The whitty banter and steamy chemistry is just EVERYTHING. Their family situations will break your heart but also make it feel so full that it will burst when she gets to the good stuff. The raw emotion she pours into the situations they face seriously made my heart just hurt. HOW DO YOU DO THIS EVERY SINGLE TIME?!?! The backdrop for this story is beautiful, the characters complex, the well thought out storyline (that is so much more than your typically rom-com) all of it is just absolute perfection. Abby gets it. She knows the depth that women long for in true unconditional love and she also understands that we each have our own dark parts that we try to hide. Her books expose the trial and tribulations while providing comfort in the places that many least expect.

Abby Jimenez is one of those authors that no matter how many books I read, I will never be disappointed….and yet I am always somehow surprised by how much I fall in love with each one. Now, please excuse me while I go nurse my book hangover.
