I did rather enjoy this book. I found some elements of the plot predicatble, but others surprised me. Not bad.

Just a quick review since it has been some time since I read this book, but the completionist in me wants all the reviews up, and I still have some notes.
This was the first book in the Eve Duncan series that I read, although it is apparently book number 4.5 and borders on being a complete spin off. Previously I had read some later books, I think there happened to be a librarian who was a big fan and got me to read these book, but I was a bit surprised to find that the characters I 'knew' as main characters only played very minor roles in this story.
The story was what one would expect from a snackbook, nothing too spectacular but not unpleasant to read.
Note: I read a Dutch translation of this book.

I can't stop reading this damn series. Eve Duncan is not in this book for even a word, but the other characters are so compelling I can't stop. I had a suspicion I'd be reading about Judd Morgan again, though I thought I was wrong after the way "No One to Trust" ended.
Boy, am I glad I was wrong. Morgan is terrific, and the fact that his character is so close-lipped kept me guessing till the end. Alex was also fantastic. I am really loving this web that Johansen has created....

This was my first Johansen audio book and I already put more on my wish list. I knew I loved her as an author, but I wasn't sure how her stories would play out in audio form. I really enjoyed it very much!
