Un piccolo gioiello! Un racconto fresco e leggero con due piccole protagoniste divertenti e simpatiche.
Ambientato in Svezia, Astrid Lindgren è bravissima nella descrizione dei paesaggi e nel far assaporare l'atmosfera svedese.
Perfetto come intermezzo tra letture più impegnative.

Med den här boken avslutade jag min Astrid Lindgren-vecka. Ett väldigt bra avslut måste jag säga. Åh, vad jag älskar Madicken! Det är så härligt att läsa om henne och Lisabet och allt vad de hittar på. De ställer till med en hel del, men hjärtat sitter på rätt ställe. Jag minns vissa saker väldigt tydligt från film när jag var liten (jättebra filmer, för övrigt), så det är väl lite nostalgiskt också. Även fast jag lyssnade på den här i september blev jag till och med sugen på jul...

I mentioned in my review of [b:Pippi Longstocking|19302|Pippi Longstocking|Astrid Lindgren|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1427899207s/19302.jpg|2056462]that there was a summer that my cousin and I read through all of the Astrid Lindgren books (or at least the ones that were shelved at the local library.) I could always remember the events in this one - but couldn't place which book it was. I spent the entire time reading this internally shouting, "I remember this scene." Just lovely.

En favorit från när jag var barn. Jag hade glömt bort vilken stor del kristendomen hade i denna bok, vilket kom som en chock. Något som dock överraskade mig på ett positivt sätt var hur den gestaltade dåtidens klassamhälle och klasskillnader.

Nostalgivarning. Och minnet är en intressant sak, jag trodde Abbe var vuxen i alla fall, och att Madicken var minst 10. Antagligen för att jag själv var runt 7 när jag såg filmatiseringarna.

This is a collection of short stories focused on a seven-year-old Madikken and her younger sister Lisabeth. They're all very sweet and despite the wild ideas the older girl gets sometimes, all end happily and with a clear message to the kids reading.
I would be happier with some more insight into background characters like the Nielssen family and Linus-Ida, but as the stories are written from Madik's point of view it makes sense for us to learn only as much as she knew at the time.
The children-like logic and the sense of adventure is readily present and my only complain towards the book is that it's somewhat too short to get satisfied with all that these kids get up to.
