I am LOVING this series! The 2nd book was just as good, if not better than the 1st one. I love the atmosphere of the town, the characters we are following and the new ones we meet, the relationship between Bonnie & Mason, and of course Clyde steals my heart! It's a refreshing cozy where the sleuth isn't a nosy busy-body doing outlandish things that are unbelievable. This has a well-balanced amount of investigating, without it being eye-roll inducing. Also, I am really enjoying getting to see someone really stick it to her soon-to-be ex-husband. So satisfying.

Seven Deadly Sequins” book 2 in the Bonnie & Clyde Mysteries by Julie Anne Lindsey. I love this new series!

Bonnie & Clyde are at it again! When the death of a local baker threatens to shred the fabric of their lovely town, this dynamic sleuthing duo bolts into action. The results will leave you in stitches.

I can’t say enough about Julie’s new cozy mystery series other than I LOVE it! I was left smiling once again at the end and I didn’t want it to end. I’m anxiously awaiting book 3 in the series as fun things are going to happen I can just feel it.

I found the characters enjoyable, likeable and most importantly I wanted to be apart of the community. Plus the setting of Bliss, Georgia sounds so charming (reminds me of the show Hart of Dixie)

The mystery is well-written and plotted. There are several red herrings and twists to keep the reader engaged.

I look forward to reading all the books in the series and highly recommend to all my cozy mystery loving friends.

I voluntarily agreed to read a digital copy of this book supplied by the Author. All thoughts and opinions are my own and in no way have been influenced.

This is such a fun series and I can't wait to dive into book 3 in February. I really appreciate Lindsey's ability to help the read feel what the characters are feeling. I feel like this book went a little fast when it cam to the whodunit and I wanted there to be a bit more suspense in it. Overall this was a SOLID read and I can't wait to dive into the next book.

Seven Deadly Sequins is the second installment in the Bonnie & Clyde Mystery series by author Julie Anne Lindsey. If you haven't read anything by this author, I would encourage you to pick up the first book in any of her series (she also writes under the names Bree Baker and Jaqueline Frost). Ms. Lindsey's stories are a delight to read and this book continues in that tradition. I have enjoyed the first two books and getting to know Bonnie, Gigi, Cami, Mason Wright, and all of the other residents of Bliss Georgia. I love the relationship Bonnie has with not only her parents but her grandmother Gigi as well. Bonnie is loyal and fiercely protective of her family, especially given that she has come home after a failed 19-year marriage. The town of Bliss is charming and Ms. Lindsey writes it in such a manner that the reader can picture the quintessential small southern town as they read. I love the relationship that Bonnie is developing with Mason Wright, now the town sheriff. They both have some emotional baggage so they are doing a cautious dance around each other. The result is some entertainingly witty dialogue and a bit of tension on where they want this "thing" between them to go.

This time around, Bonnie becomes involved in another case when Gigi becomes the prime suspect in the murder of her longtime friend Rowena. Gigi was not shy about accusing Rowena of stealing a family recipe and selling it at her bakery booth. As a result, when Rowena is found dead by Gigi, who is holding the murder weapon, she becomes the prime suspect. Bonnie doesn't take that laying down and once again inserts herself into the investigation putting herself in the crosshairs of a killer. The mystery was not overly complex but I was a bit surprised by the killer's identity and how it ties to the first book. I also love the role Clyde played in helping Mason catch the killer before any harm could befall Bonnie and Gigi.

This is a charming series and I can already tell I am going to be sad to see it end after 8 books. I'm happy that the author has indicated that there will be spin-off's and I think this book is setting up one of those spin-off mysteries with Bonnie's best friend Cami and the new man in town.

I voluntarily read a digital advanced reader copy provided to me by the author. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own and are in no way influenced by the manner in which I received the book.

This book was such a cute, quick read. I really enjoy the cast of characters and the plot line was interesting. The only thing I have to say is that I find it hard to believe that her cat rescued her in the end, but everything else about this book was fun and engaging. I cannot wait to see what happens with Bonnie and Mason.

Bonnie’s Gigi is back in town and in a bit of hot water when she’s found at the scene of the crime. Detective Wright is looking at her for murder and of course Bonnie doesn’t like this one bit. Will Bonnie be able to help prove to Mason that Gigi is innocent?

Oh this book!!! I liked this one even more than the first. It was fun to get to know Gigi and discover a bit about Mason’s past. I laughed out loud more than once and the twists and red herrings kept me guessing until the the end. Also, Clyde is the best little sidekick!

I am so looking forward to the rest of this series!!!
