Laura is the daughter of a politician who has never felt like she fits in with her parents lifestyle. When she visited Rose Ridge, VA with her best friend, Laura decided to jump at the chance for something new. That's where she meets the wolf, Killian the Stone Rider's new president, he's hot and cold with her and has no idea what to think.

Only read this book because of the MMC's mame tbh... the story was ok, nothing mindblowing. There was a lot of frustrating misunderstanding and, even though it's marketed as an enemies to lovers story, I wasn't really buying the enemy part.
I hadn't read the first book in this series, but there's enough explanation of past events in this one to easily catch you up.
I love an enemies to lovers trope, and I really liked these two together. They have a history, a push/pull attraction, and trying to deny this attraction really didn't work for either one of them.
This was a bit of a rollercoaster, but I enjoyed the ride! I so want to read the next story. I want to know more about the different characters from the MC.
