While technically I suppose this could be read as a standalone since it’s a diff couple from book 1, there’s a lot of carryover and it was helpful having read 1 first. There was a great cast of characters and it didn’t feel like the main couple were living in a bubble.

I liked the characters in this book better than the first. They wasn’t so much of the hot/cold as the first book. And even when there was a bit you pretty much knew the motivation behind the words.

I really loved the backstory of the mmc and the explanations for the decisions he made. It made the relationship pretty believable. The jumping from past to present was easier to read because the past was only a few months before and not changing years.

The only part that was a little ridiculous was the end with the mom, but that can be easily overlooked.

Would recommend this book.

This series!!!!! I love it so freaking much. I think I may have liked this one even more than the first one. We have bad as motorcycle gangs, mystery elements, and the best spice. Laura and my guy Killian 😍❤️ Gah love them so much!  Can’t wait to read the next one.

Killian and Laura (Daisy)

Laura comes to town with her bestie from college and kind of gets swept up in the thrill of the MC way of life. Killian is a jerk to her though but when she leaves, he asks her to come back. Once she does, he is back to being a jerk but he always calls her Daisy and she can’t figure out why until some of the pieces start to come together.

I’m obsessed. I literally didn’t want this book to end.

Laura is from a political family she’s trying to avoid, and moved to Rose Ridge to be with her best friend. Killian is the new President of the Stone Rider Motorcycle Club, and Laura’s best friend’s “brother”.

When Killian is introduced to this feisty blonde, he does everything he can to try and stay clear but finds he can’t keep his eyes off of her. Laura is a take no crap kind of girl, and I’m here for it. 👏🏼

There was tension. There was banter. There was spiiiiiiice!

The twists and turns had me gasping.  The chemistry had me swooning.

Killian (32) and Laura
Enemies to lovers, dual timeline, motorcycle club, small town.
The dual timeline jumps back and forth within a three month period. That probably made it a little more confusing than it needed to be.
About 2/3 of the way through, I decided I was ready to exit the world of Rose Ridge, Virginia. The story kept being interesting so I finished the book, I’m just not super eager to read the next book right now.
Slow burn as far as their relationship goes, not necessarily their sexual relationship though…
8 spicy scenes. He has a pierced 🍆, which was hardly even mentioned. 3🔥
