"it's better to be alone than with the wrong man" yup that line's the only reason why this book gets any stars

If reading far fetched drama is you thing, then this is the book for you.

The novel starts off with the main female, Gwen, trying to move pasted being left at the alter by her now ex Dennis. From these she starts to fall for new guy Alex 6 months later. But when things start looking up for these, Alex's ex shows up out of the blue with a secret which pretty much drives the books into this crazy far fetch scenario which ends with everyone having a happy ending.

Personally the book started off right with some funny moment (even though I felt the pace of Alex's and Gwen relationship, or what-ever the hell these two were, was going pretty past). But after Alex's ex enters the picture, the book just go sorts of crazy. But some how all this craziness kept me interested enough to keep reading towards a pretty big let-down of an ending. The ending just left like this half ass thing compared to the rest of the book which was pretty funny and had some great moments.

I expected this to be quite negative. Not sure why probably because usually women exes are portrayed as quite bitchy and obnoxious but Harmony wasn't she was a little eccentric which I enjoyed but she was pretty nice and not as bitchy as I expected. The same can be said for Gwen when she talks to the man who nearly left her at the altar. I'd have been a nasty person but she wasn't.
Male exes can also be a little violent and rude but neither was in this which again was great. It was nice to read normal people emotions and not all over the place.
This is a fluffy chick lit so don't expect perfection but for what it was it was a good read.

This book started out great. I thought it was funny and I wanted Gwen and Alex to make it. I just did not like the last few chapters. It’s like Alex didn’t choose Gwen until his other options were gone. Gwen deserved more after going along with all that drama!

I was inspired to read this book based on withcindy's review of it on youtube so i knew the plot before going into it but i wanted the chaos. Admittedly, Cindy's review made it sound a lot more fun than it actually was, but, again, that's maybe because I already knew what was going to happen, so they chaotic twist and turns it made weren't as entertainingly random as they seemed in the youtube video. Nonetheless, the last 100 pages were an amusing ride. I love it when authors are bad at writing cohesive plots. Not to dump on the author's writing but her best friend taking off to Vegas (or wherever, I forget) and getting married to someone she'd known for, like, a minute is simultaneously the laziest example of a filler plot and the most hilarious thing i have ever read. I didn't know books like this could be published and sold.
