This was an enjoyable "beach read" kind of book with a fun trio of interacting characters and an island setting sympathetically portrayed. There were lots of "JUST TELL HER!!" moments and also, does anyone really ever address someone by their first and last names, which happens multiple times in this book? But I loved the mother/daughter relationship, the complex jealousy in Anthony's family, and the pro-women messages Moore depicts thoughtfully and realistically.
3.5 stars. Better than average plot and I liked all of the characters. Otherwise just what you would expect, which is not necessarily a bad thing!

3.5 stars. Really enjoyed this summer read! Great characters, original story.
It's entertaining, a quick read. Nothing too deep or mind blowing, really. Some minor suspense with a few different aspects. A good beachy read if that's your thing. It did make me want to visit Block Island, though!
A great summer read, with characters that draw you in to their lives. Anthony is a disgraced writer, hiding from the public. Lu has a secret blog unbeknownst to her husband, who believes she gave up her career as a lawyer to stay home with their sons. Joy is a single mom with a daughter, Maggie, who is approaching her teen years. Their relationships, and the interaction between the summer people and the year round Block Island residents enhances the story. Recommended.
This is the perfect beach read - fans of Elin Hilderbrand will definitely enjoy this book. The three main characters - disgraced writer Anthony, single mother and owner of the local bakery, Joy and frustrated stay at home mom, Lu - are all well written and likeable characters. My only gripe is my ARC didn't incluce Joy's whoopie pie recipe - I will definitely be checking out the finished book so I can try the recipe! I won an ARC of this book from LibraryThing.
This was a really good book! There are times in some books with multiple characters I lose track of the characters that are not as vital to the plot. The author did a great job of making every character have a stand alone story line. I also enjoyed that not every male female relationship had to be romantic.
