The first fiction I’ve read in quite a while, and surprisingly resonated quite a bit. Like all romcoms, the characters and their subsequent circumstances aren’t “realistic” per se (one characters only flaw is he’s too selfless and sensitive, but somehow still a gym god) but they are fleshed out. Predictable story with not too much going on, but it’s got plenty of heart for family and friendships and nostalgic ruminating that kept me engaged.

Well written, fast read romance with a decent plot. I liked the homage paid to her previous book, Beach Read in there. Definitely portrays the message if finding your home in who you love.

Pretty good book, if you want to read a good old classic romance this is a good place to go because Emily Henry has a way of making a setting extremely romantic and fun and lighthearted without making you cringe. I didn’t feel gross reading this book the way I have with other book tok romances
