Love is patient, love is kind
A comes when you’re least expecting it. What a wonderful hurt/comfort book filled with surprising healing powers to warm your mind and soul.
Absolutely loved these two and how they just knew.

This is a pretty sweet book. Absolutely heartbreaking to start with, but it grew less angsty the more the boys fell for each other. I was happy to read their story both the first time and upon rereading.
Not my favorite among Riley’s books, but good.

Lovely story
I always rate the books I read but I rarely review them. This one grabbed me though. It's special. :)

So damn wholesome. And the love just pours out of the pages. The characters are flawed and relatable and loveable and familiar. The slow-burn connection, combined with the medium angst just hits all the feels. I loved this. I love Riley Hart.

I think the perfect way to describe this story is weighty fluff?
It’s quite angsty and heavy in some aspects, especially the first 20% and then there are a lot of heart felt and soft moments which make the friends to lovers believable. But just a little too sappy for my taste ... maybe I’m too much of a cynical bitch at heart.
I read this back in October but had to DNF because it was getting way too soft, and I decided to pick it up and re read it and... I had the same issue? I LOVED the first 30% but after they become a couple it felt too tedious to read on, but I managed to finish it. There’s not much that happens and it’s more of a discovery book than anything - but overall it was good? Yeah, sorry my heart is too cold for this stuff.
But can I just say, the cover is absolutely drop dead gorgeous.

Absolute gorgeous romance, two men who manage to find each other and bond over shared trauma. They are first friends, then emotional support, then lovers and so much more!
