I feel that the themes in this book were important, but the writing was very scattered. I know this is how Vonnegut writes but I didn’t feel that as much when reading slaughterhouse 5. Reflecting, I like the book, but the reading experience itself was hard.
Witty, satirical and crude.
I enjoyed the drawings and the jokes (even when they went over my head).
Didn’t love the amount of times he wrote Chinaman and the N word but maybe it’s another crack at Americans and casual (blatant) racism in the 70’s.

Quintessential Vonnegut and engagingly meta. It would be best to read this book only after reading other works by Vonnegut.
