I liked the first few chapters and took a lot of the recommendations and put them immediately into practice. The rest of the book was really detailed, too detailed for me...and I love details.

useful methodology and tips that I hope will help me clarify and organise my professional and personal life and get hold of all the "open loops" that prevent the fulfillment of my goals. I've begun putting some of these suggestions into practice and the feeling is positive, already.

While listening to this I’ve already implemented some aspects of GTD into my life. It really has changed how I operate. I’m taking off .5 stars because of how limited the language is for younger people, those in school, or anyone that doesn’t work in an office. He said at the start that everyone can use this book but uses countless examples of being a wealthy business person.

This book is a lifestyle of productivity. It works exceptionally well if you can discipline yourself to stick with it and to keep getting back to it when you find it easier to not do so.

Edit: Updating from 5 stars to 4 stars, still think it's a great book. Hard to implement, but still useful information.

I started reading this a long time ago, attempted to use the system, didn't succeed and just moved on.

Recently I decided to pick up the book again, finish the whole thing and attempt the system a little more seriously.

Whether you take bits and pieces, or adopt the whole GTD method, this is a great productivity read. And although it takes a bit to set up if you have a lot in your life, so far it seems worth it.

I decided to buy the physical book and re-read it again, hoping more of it would stick and i was correct. Although to be honest I almost feel like I need to read it again. The idea is useful and fairly simple and yet I still struggle with it. I wish I had the answers regarding exactly how i should personally implement it.

The best and worst part about this system is that there is too much freedom. But eventually I figure something out. It's still a good book and it gets me motivated to improve my system.
