The Book of Two Ways

Really enjoyed this book. At some points I was really confused by the audio version but by the end everything becomes clear

.

Probably the best one I've read of this author. I kind of want more though, where is the happy ending?

This book made me literally laugh, smile, and at parts, gasp. It’s smart writing, honest romance, and set somewhere insanely cool. It follows Dawn between Boston and Egypt in a way that made me unsure if it was all real or separate timelines for her at first, and ending in a way I never saw coming.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I thought the Egyptology was going to be a challenge but it was fun. Love her writing.

Couldn't put the book down-really enjoyed it
medium-paced
adventurous emotional inspiring reflective medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

Picoult is falling flat with a lot of her new releases. This book was WAY too heavy on the hieroglyphics/Egyptology angle. I understand it's really interesting to Picoult — not so interesting when you're writing about that but trying to jam in a half-hearted story on top of it. And the story itself is a little ridiculous.
Spoiler Dawn really couldn't work out the math to figure that her baby was Wyatt's rather than her one-night-stand-turned-husband??
And on top of THAT, Picoult leaves the ending unresolved. Who will Dawn wind up with: the person she should or her emotionally manipulative husband?! This book is a messy midlife crisis!

Damn I’m disappointed

Dnf made it halfway and was so over it.
