Saga carinissima che sicuramente ho intenzione di continuare a leggere. A tratti un po’ lenta e ripetitiva, soprattutto nella parte centrale, ma, considerando che si tratta della prima opera dell’autrice direi proprio ben riuscito!
Consiglio soprattutto agli amanti della cultura giapponese

Pensieri sparsi

  • La trama è abbastanza prevedibile, ma è anche vero che dopo anni di letture una storia di questo tipo si apre a pochi colpi di scena veramente stupefacenti;
  • I personaggi mi sono piaciuti tutti e li ho trovati ben scritti;
  • Nonostante tutte le vicissitudini affrontate dal protagonista e dagli altri personaggi, ho avuto l'impressione che mancasse un po' di sale alla storia, che non mi ha mai veramente emozionata del tutto;
  • In generale lo definirei un romanzo piacevole, ma non di quelli che si devono assolutamente leggere;
  • Di sicuro è un libro pensato per un pubblico giovane;
  • La veste grafica è bellissima.

This book became my favorite after just a few chapters.
The story of this boy, cruel, devastating, with some flashes of light. It struck me deeply, it left me with a melancholy, an affection towards him and towards other characters.
The wonderful care and study to be able to represent the Japan of the seventeenth century, the maniacal description of the features of each person, of the clothes, of the houses, all designed to make you part of the story.

C'est un bon livre mais définitivement pas pour moi !
Le style m'a laissé de marbre (bien que je reconnais clairement l'effort derrière), je l'ai trouvé très looong et répétitif. Pour être honnête à la moitié je n'en pouvais tellement plus, je suis allée regarder la fin (les 50 dernières pages) voir si celle-ci allait me motiver à poursuivre ma lecture et ça m'a encore plus démotivé donc j'ai décidé d'arrêter le massacre sachant que je le traînais depuis 3 mois.
