god.. i think this might be my new favorite book. i loved this and their journey so much.

Well… that was something and not in a good way. The prologue….really throw you out there. I felt uncomfortable bc I mean, rape, incest (and those two are linked…). The plot was a bit too much. Felt like a fantasy book but it was contemporary that was weird. The smut was alright. Not bad at all but not memorable. This is the first time I have not been into the stuff I was reading. And I read some crazy stuff; clown shit, knife shit, and I was so into it. But in this book it was a lot, but not in a good way, it was like so fucked up. Wasn’t into it. At all. To be honest I didn’t really like the characters. I had a hard time picturing their personality. And they felt so not real too.
I will never ever ever recommend this book. Simply because I didn’t like it and it was really not enjoyable.

colpi di scena a non finire, trope stupenda, protagoniste che si completano a vicenda, si certo, è un libro dark quindi comunque ha degli elementi che possono disturbare, ma rispetto ad altri libri dello stesso genere, questo è decisamente superiore

Okay y’all, when I first saw things about this book circulating, I knew I had to read it. It was just so dang intriguing to me!
This is my first @lizajamesauthor book AND my first FF book. I have to say, I think this was an amazing book to pop those cherries!

Like so many other reviewers, I will note that this is my first FF romance. Because of this, I had no clue if this was gonna be something that I struggled with or if my horizons were ready to be expanded. Luckily, it was the latter, and now I am just absolutely SHOOK.
Enthralled from the very beginning, I literally got no sleep. I couldn’t step away, couldn’t drag myself to bed until I saw this ride to the end.
Aura was such a relatable character. Sheltered by her upbringing, trying to explore new facets of the world, she reminded me so much of myself, and I couldn’t stop seeing the similarities.
And Ruby. My goodness, did she drag me into the darkness and play with me like I was dinner on the table that the kids can’t be bothered with.
I already knew I was into James’ writing style, and she continues to solidify that I’ve made a good choice in devouring everything she puts out.
I don’t know if I’ll ever get enough.
Oh, and in case I didn’t make myself clear here, relieve yourself of the restraint holding you back and dive into this world headfirst. No regrets.
