The sex scenes in this were so so so hot! I have been wanting more f/f books. My main gripe in this is it felt Insta lovey and the main character lacked depth. I wanted to have a deeper connection to her. She talked about her past and now it effected her but we never got to see it. The relationship was the main focus and even that felt rushed. I would have liked this book to have more depth then a smutty romance novel

this book was.. disgusting. I don't usually leave reviews but,, it was terrible. I need to cleanse my brain after reading it. The only reason I trudged through this damn book was to write a review, and to warn other people not to read this book.
I had come across this book from the author's tiktok, and the premise of the book ("dark lesbian romance. taboo. edgeplay. bloodplay. cults. lots of wlw sex") was intriguing enough for me to pick it up, but I regret reading this book. It starts off with a "trigger warning", if you could even call it that, seeing as it doesn't warn for any of the actual triggers. it just says that the book COULD be triggering, and warns not to read if under 18. But, what it doesn't warn you for, is the rape, pedophilia, and sexual assault aspects of this book. it is FILLED TO THE BRIM with rape. there's more rape in this book than actual substance. I wouldn't recommend this book at all. Plus, the lesbian sex aspects? weren't even good. some parts were okay, but for the most part, it was unrealistic and jarring. They would get spontaneously turned on and fuck each other in the weirdest times. It felt as I was reading lesbians through the fetishized gaze of men. just. not a good book. There were at least six typos that I caught, as well. It seemed as though it wasn't proofread.

I've read a few dark romances but this definitely took me off guard and out of my comfort zone. I do recommend reading trigger warnings before reading this book. I honestly liked it more than I thought I would and it had a interesting and complex plot that you wouldn't expect in this kind of dark romance. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to read an interesting sapphic romance while challenging their reading comfort zone.
