this books was really interesting.... and overall it wasn’t really my type of book. i enjoyed it, but the whole cult concept was not really for me. the story, however, was really interesting and there was so many twists and turns that i definitely did not see coming!!

i get that it's a dark romance, but i cannot deal with non-consensual vibes (no pun intended) being romanticized. it's just not for me
AMAZING!!
Just.......wow!!!!!!!
I found this book from the author on tiktok and it looked right up my alley.
This book was sooooooooo good! Definitely unlikely any other sapphic book I've ever read.

It was absolutely amazing. An emotional rollercoaster. A masterpiece in my eyes.
"I'm not that small, fragile wildflower. I'm the entire fucking forest and I'll light this bitch on fire"
I took a few days after finishing this book to really think about it before I sat down and vomited all my feelings into a review. I have A LOT of feelings about this book.
Aura is a woman who had escaped from a cult when she was younger and is trying to experience all that life has to offer but is often held back by her boyfriend and best friend. One day she meets a dancer named Ruby in a club called pandoras box and they have an instant connection. A vibe like nothing they’ve ever experienced before. I won’t say much more about what goes on between these two because I think people need to just dive in head first and experience this story on their own. Vibe is a book about breaking down barriers of right and wrong, about saying f you to societies expectations, about that once in a lifetime connection that you can’t ignore and most of all, it’s a book about freedom.
This is a dark romance with some very heavy topics so If dark romance isn’t your thing or you’re new to the sub-genre just keep that in mind.
First of all, I love anything to do with cults. I eat that shit up. The backstory of the life Aura grew up in is WILD and if you’ve ever seen midsommar it kind of felt like that. I’d really love to crawl up in Liza’s mind for a day because this cult world she created was so fascinating and well thought out.
Now to these characters. I absolutely loved both Aura and Ruby. Ruby is sexy but also tough and won’t let anyone too close to her, while Aura is fierce and determined but has been conditioned all her life to be meek and do what she’s told. It’s so amazing to experience Aura becoming her true self and fighting back against those internal and external chains.
As someone who identifies as pansexual, I loved how this story dealt with the idea that love can be found in anyone regardless of gender. Love is about soul deep connections and those vibes you pick up from someone. Even without the added pressures of auras cult, society is so big on putting labels on things. Either your gay or straight or you like women or you don’t, none of that matters to Ruby and Aura. Love is love. And god damn don’t even get me started on their sex scenes. Holyyyyyyyyyy were they hot
I also have to say since reading fated, descent and then vibe it’s so amazing to see Liza grow as a writer. Her writing and storytelling have been amazing from start to finish but It felt like vibe was some of her best writing and I absolutely loved every second of this freaking book.
If you’ve managed to read this entire review to the end, I’m so sorry if this is just one big ramble. You just have to read this book and experience it first-hand.
Liza, you da best.

this is certainly a book! honestly, the plot became weak and a lot of the scenes were uncomfortable to read. the mc literally decided to have sex next to a dead body fjdjdkkdsjdjkdkdkdks. if i have to read the words “vibe girl” one more time i will toss myself off of a cliff :)
