Could be incredibly triggering to some readers. A blanket warning for triggers is given at the beginning of the book but if you are triggered by assault (sexual and physical), rape, grooming/sexual abuse of a minor, incestual sexual abuse, cult behaviour, sexual manipulation, or anything similar this book likely isn’t for you.

So I honestly have no idea how to even begin my review.
Liza's writing keeps improving with each book and she completely rips my heart out every single
time.
This book was so much more than I was expecting and instead of taking me on a ride, it took me through a whole ass theme park.
The pain, the growth, and the love between Aura and Ruby is just everything. It pulses so clearly between them that even I could feel it in my heart. Their story is in no way sweet and cute. It's raw, full of betrayal and vulnerability.
Aura and Ruby captured me immediately and I don't want to let go of them. I can tell that this story will stay with me for a long time. Liza explores how someone's environment while growing up affects you deeply BUT that it is not everything. That sometimes you just need a small push to see that you are capable, that you are strong, that it's ok to ask for help and to love.
This book impacted me in a way that I didn't expect. I adored it so much and I love that while Aura and Ruby are the protagonists, that doesn't they aren't without demons and faults. They both have their own problems that force them to make difficult choices. It'll seem like their pain is too much with too little happiness and peace but just keep reading, their love is pure and they'll do anything to help and save each other.
My only complaint about this book was the blood play. While I don't mind it all, I'm just a bit tired of it constantly happening in a lot of dark romances recently. It's also weird that ever since I read Sick Fux, 80% of all the romances I've read, include it now.
*check out my review on my blog for a little extra tidbit!
**This book also contains cheating so I would steer clear if you absolutely cannot read about cheating.
