Another good story in this series. Really enjoying all the knitting knowledge and cross stitch. Good mystery -- liked the women who looked like sisters. Great ending. Definitely enjoy

I liked the first books in this series much more than the most recent ones. Ferris has taken to telling the story from the perspective of multiple characters, which ends up being just disorienting, not more interesting. The mysteries always seem to wrap up too abruptly lately, as well, with not enough clues strung along to help us figure it out while reading. I have one more of these already in hand, and after that, I'm not sure if I'll keep up with this one.

I've enjoyed this series very much but this one just never captured my attention. I ended up skipping to the end to see who did it.

Great cozy mystery fluff.

Missing family members, murder, treasure and more, oh my!
Lucille Jones comes to town looking for answers to her past. She was adopted and thinks she might find some family matters. Amazingly, she looks just like one of the members of Betsy's sewing group. Jan is dealing not only with a new possible family member but also the death of her great-aunt. The dead woman was an extreme eccentric, not leaving any of her considerable wealth to her nephew nor any of his daughters.

In this Besty Devonshire is almost absent, we instead follow the quest for truth of Lucille who's looking for a long lost family, Jan who's trying to figure out how not to get arrested for the murder of her grand aunt who died from a needle punched inside her skull. It was a nice plot, with colourful characters but they are not why I read this series set in Minnesota, I read to see Besty sleuth and figure out the culprit. I was a little disappointed in that regard but the plot is solid and interesting. But the sock knitting class was funny.

This Monica Ferris series is one I have been reading off and on for years. It is always fun. I enjoy the characters. She seems to put a little thought into the murders which also makes it fun for me to try to figure out. If you like cozies I recommend this series.

Well, I read this once before and forgot I read it. So I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. LOL! No, I read these as light, easy reads. Something I can pick up quickly even while the kids are being loud and crazy!
I love Ferris's books though. They are cute and fun and love that they revolve around knitting/needlework/etc!
