She Memes Well by Quinta Brunson

Quinta comes across as someone who is relatable and thoughtful. I enjoyed this. I listened to the audio version, which she reads, and she does a great job. I was kind of surprised that she didn’t talk about Abbott Elementary at all, but then discovered that she had saved it all up for the epilogue, which is about fifty minutes long.

I decided that I’m not going to assign a star rating to memoirs anymore. How can you rate someone’s life?

Excellent book, highly recommend the audio version narrated by Quinta Brunson herself.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading She Memes Well by Quinta Brunson. I love how relatable her stories were. Each chapter balances the delivery of life lessons with comedic relief that doesn’t feel forced. It felt like having a good friend reminisce on their shenanigans. Great job Quinta! Looking forward to engaging with more of your creative content, however it may manifest.

I have to remember to look at this as a collection of essays and not necessarily a memoir. When seeing it as a bunch of essays some hit stronger than others. After a while I opted to get the Audible version to hear her narrate. My favorite part was the additional section at the end where she talked about Abbott and how it was created!
