I enjoyed the characters and the plot, but the steps for the conclusion and the conclusion itself weren't good, at least for me. There are some things they could've done while investigating that would probably not solve the mystery faster, but would at least help take those things out of the mystery. They had an entire list of suspects that they literally didn't use. Coach, Mystery Girl, The Number, The Police Officer? All in the suspect's list and none actually investigated. The end was what knocked this from a 3.5 to a 3. None of the things she did before confronting the "villain" were stablished beforehand and it just made the resolution quick, convenient and almost nonsensical.

As I said, I liked the characters and the plot. The writing was fast paced and I liked the romance. Honestly, if it weren't for some things being basically put into her hands or the half-assed end, I would have enjoyed this a bit more.

these were all terrible people? and like, not good detectives?

i finished this quickly cos i wanted to know what happened to be a full force hater, not because it was good.

maybe this is just what thrillers are now? i was expecting more growth, symbolism, basic intelligence, etc. although it also made me realize that maybe writing a book is like running a marathon — finishing is a huge accomplishment!! but it doesn’t mean it was good!! you can still have a lot of growth to do!

I love a good murder podcast but this was less fun because the primary podcaster wasn’t the narrator

So funny story. I listened to this in two sittings and I flew through it both times, but in between those two listens was a 4 day break because I was on a road trip / vacation / with friends and had zero time to read. Had it not been for that, I would have finished it in one sitting because it's so fast paced and I wanted to know what happened!

Loved the AGGGTM vibes, the fast pace, the multi perspective, and the podcast episodes mixed in!

I loved that every time I thought I maybe had it figured out, I didn't. And I loved how many different little details and side plots were woven into what happened, making it fun to try to figure out as you read!

There was plenty of teenage angst and petty drama that added entertainment and laughs, all while dealing with the very real issue of a kid going missing.

If you enjoyed AGGGTM, I'd recommend picking this one up!
