Is it possible to love the girls even more? Set across a longer time span than The Girls I've Been, approximately a week rather than a few hours, The Girl in Question is split across the perspectives of Nora and Iris, telling the story of their time in the forest. There's secrets galore floating around, and I loved the connections drawn between the two books, characters that were mentioned in book one making an appearance here.

Especially toward the end, Amanda added so much to the book as well, Tess Sharpe did such a fantastic job narrating the book and the dynamic between Amanda and Nora is absolutely comical. Another special mention for all the scenes Nora has with Emma, because somehow the depiction of how a teenage girl who had to grow up too fast interacts with an actually innocent six-year-old was spot on.

Loooooved this book ! I ate it up just like the first one.
What can I say ? I'm a sucker for a young and strong bisexual girl that confronts her past abusers and make grown men cry (figuratively).
The descriptions are so well done I can really picture every single detail and the dialogue are amazing. I particularly love the discussions between Nora and Iris, her badass and girly girlfriend. They just work so well together.
You can't help but admire Nora, for her amazing personality and skillset, while feeling bad for how she acquired said skillset.

And THAT ENDING ?! Got me punching my pillow like a maniac. Such a good way of ending that book. Amazing last page.

Apparently there is a movie adaptation coming of the first book so I can't wait to see if it looks like anything I envisioned in my head.

I thoroughly enjoyed this sequel to The Girls I've Been. It was action packed and dramatic like the first book but with even more at stake emotionally and physically

It's definitely one where you need to read the books in order to understand what's going on and the character's motivations - I know someone who tried to read it as a standalone and obviously had absolutely no idea what was going on or why.
