Read this for class several weeks ago, remember very little of it because I believe I was severely jetlagged at the time, or at least still recovering. I remember appreciating it a little more after having talked about it in class, I think I liked it, but it's hard to tell. I think it was funny but I also think the humor was a little lost on me personally. I did find it funny that people kept showing up in costumes and not being able to recognize each other, that's always a good bit, and I'm a big fan of con artist shit in general, so I enjoyed that.

Great concept and ideas, but the writing was soooo incredibly dull.

Originally gave it 3 stars, but that almost feels too generous.

Reads flat, dry and dull on the page - definitely one of those plays which is better in performance.

This play is utter shit. Do not waste your time. One star for "I fart at thee," which is objectively hilarious.

I read this for a university module. This is without a doubt the funniest Renaissance drama I have come across. Unlike Shakespeare's comedies which rely heavily on wit and rhetorical devices, Jonson produces physical comedy, including farce which is much easier to interpret and understand in a modern context.
