What happens when you finally cave into your deepest desires only to find the man you hired wasn't actually the guy your hired??
REVENGE! Blood thirsty revenge!
14 years ago everything went wrong and their lives fell apart. Now 14 years later, Tax is on top of the world with plans to pull the run out from Mia. He must ruin her life the same way she ruined theirs. But with the plans of revenge, he begins to fall hard for her and can't commit to what was set in motion... Is it too late to stop these plans?
This was very dark and the twist has me SHOOK!!
Highly recommend the audio.
(Putting this on the non con shelf, because the FMC did not conscent to the MMC, she connected to a guy she hired)

I was describing this book earlier and I said that Debt has a Dark theme, has blackmail & has a captive but, not in the real sense of the word but, a psychological captive. There is forgiveness, a lot angst and survival. A beautiful sad story with an OMG ending! All she had to do was beg. I am still crying and I feel another book hangover coming on. I loved this book. I so hope the way it ended that there will be another book.

Totally loved this book. Had so much angst and pain. I commend Nina for the amazing writing in this book.
The FMC is experiencing too much shame. Like it almost feels like internalized kink shaming, which is silly since her best friend shares the kink. On that note, WHY IS SHE LYING TO HER BEST FRIEND ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE? That's the biggest reason I'm DNFing. I can't stand reading about close relationships, but the smallest and easiest bit of vulnerability and these FMCs just CAN'T. Maybe y'all ain't actually that close.
Also, casually mentioning after the fact that the website specified the encounter would start in the driveway and the MMC was in her house but she thought nothing of it is VERY ANNOYING. I can get pass the knife since she was drunk and he never cut her, but IN THE HOUSE??

This story hooked me. I couldn't guess what the debt was until past the halfway point. Stayed up way past my bedtime to read.
Period sex involving the "sexy" removal of a tampon is -NOT- my thing, but the rest was good.

The way I ATE this book up!
Definitely in the guilt pleasure genre here, but holy moley was I kicking my feet and guffawed at Tax's words. It's not often that I'm left speechless, but this man sure as hell left me like that. Him and Mia are engrained in the brain and a girl could only ever dream of such an interesting dynamic.
This was a VERY, VERY dark read. Him ripping the soul he entered this world with from existence? For true and destined love? Brothhherrrrr... my heart broke.
This is a very Kill Bill true love story. I said what I said. I will most likely be rereading for the dialogue alone.
What started this was definitely dub-con/non-con (which was ick but the scene sure wasn't), but blossomed into breathtaking CNC. Blackmailing, psychological torture/breaking down, revenge, rape, verbal/mental/physical abuse, bullying, and murder.

I loved this book. It's a dark read but it's so refreshing to not read the same stuff over and over.
5+++ Indebted Stars!

First off, HOLY CRAP. I LOVED THIS BOOK.
The whole premise of the book was crazy. Mia signs up for a website that offers her the chance to live out her "rape" fantasy with a good looking man. They give her a safe-word to say and never tell her exactly when the rape will occur. She gets home one day to find a man in her apartment. She is immediately attracted to this man and of course, she gives herself to him. A few days later, she is dragged into a van...confused as to why they sent TWO men to fulfill her fantasy, she immediately screams out the safe word. The man backs away and leaves Mia feeling completely dumbfounded and scared shitless. She realizes that the man who attacked her at the apartment was not sent from the website and that he actually DID rape her. Even more confusing to her is the fact that she actually liked it.
The man who attacked her at her apartment was none other than the sexy Tax. He has been watching and waiting to kill Mia for years. Tax and his sister have plotted revenge against Mia for many years, and finally seeing his chance to FINALLY kill her- he takes it. Only it didn't go according to plan. The reader knows that Mia thought he was a role-playing actor, but Tax is completely befuddled as to her reaction to him. Little does Mia know, her playing along and enjoying what Tax was doing is what saved her life.
What else can I say about Tax other than the fact that he was, quite literally, NUTS. He was so hell bent on revenge for so long that it was all he knew.
"Hate can become so ingrained in you that it becomes part of your identity, your psyche."
That being said, I felt for him and his sister. They had something VERY bad happen to them when they were younger, and felt that Mia was the reason for all of it. I won't get into any more details than this, just do yourself a favor and don't judge Tax so harshly in the beginning. He has his reasons.
The book is also filled with many twists and turns. MANY of them left me with WAY too many feels to comprehend! Shock, confusion, sadness, and my favorite feel- TOTALLY TURNED ON.

amazing writing. crazy and complex characters. insanely hot sex scenes. this book had it all, and then some!
