I did not expect to love this as much as I do! The world was very interesting, and overall it was a very cool Queen of Hearts retelling. I liked how other characters from Alice in Wonderland were included while still having their own unique story.
I liked Cath, her transition to the Queen of Hearts felt very well done. I also liked Jest and their relationship developed well.
I was not expecting that ending  which I appreciate because at least it wasn’t predictable! 😭
The only negative thing I have t say is that it starts a little slow, but I still read through it quite quickly.

This book is amazing, recommend it to anyone who loves wonderland or a retelling of an origin story of the more evil characters

This book ripped my heart into a million pieces, 10/10 would def recommend

This book broke me in ways I never saw coming. I knew it wouldn’t end happily, but I still wasn’t prepared for how deeply it would ache.

Cath was full of hope, full of dreams that were simple. She didn’t want a crown. She just wanted a life that felt truly hers: a bakery, and a love that felt real.

Heartless is not just about becoming a villain it’s about losing yourself in a world that never lets you be free.

I really enjoyed this, Rebecca Soler narrating is great. I felt it had the right amount of whimsy given it's an Alice in Wonderland-based story, although I wasn't always fully on board with it all (e.g. the way the romance developed...)
