Cree begins with us getting to know a little bit about Milly's childhood. Then we see her in her current marriage, until the one person she really loves dies. Then she continues her journey leaving town and divorcing her husband. After that she finds a nice little town in Colorado to start anew.
Things really begin to change for when she meets Cree and his little daughter. They build a relationship very quickly but it isn't just Cree and his daughter. It is Cree's sister Willow, and Lacey the local hair stylist who makes the group a family. Milly has to experience a lot to get her HEA, but she does get it even though it was really hard.

I liked this book but there was just something about it that didn't make it all that great. I sort of felt like there wasn't enough dialogue, and when there was dialogue it seemed really cheesy and forced. Other than that I really loved all of the characters, and the story line. It was a very interesting nice read. It wasn't really angsty or anything, and it was super easy to follow!

My first DNF. I can survive most books with terrible writing, but this was just a terrible mix of corny, cringey, and bad writing. I found it slightly quirky at first... and then it just got worse.

she just lost the love of her life to cancer. and this love isn’t a guy, nor is this love about her age. This love was her mother-in-law, her savior. Now she’s on her own and wants to make the best out of it.

Yeah, sorry but this book is not it for me.

Where do I start?
The writing style is not at all what I would call enticing and something that keeps me going. I didn’t like the language. I don’t know how often I had to read hoe, bitch, and so on. Seriously, I mean, sure, at times it may be funny but not all the time?
And also, everything just happened too quickly. I never really had time to get to know the people. It was all so superficial and in the end I thought that all the characters were just that: completely and utterly superficial. There is no depth in their conversations.

And then there are all those ridiculous ideas, I mean, buying a 5 year old high heel flip flops?? And giving her a make-up kit for herself?? What the ever-loving hell?? I’m no fan.

The characters, as I said, were mainly superficial. I kinda liked them in a way cause I liked their crazy ways but then I was like: Okay, this stuff is ridiculous. But yeah, I don’t wanna judge that. (Hah, yeah, I realize I just did that. Sorry.)
Cree is violent. Seriously, this guy and his fists? Not cool. He also has no idea how to properly apologize.
Little Annie is a cutie. Totally loved her.
Dolly… Yeah, I’m totally constricted. I have no clue what I really think about her. I kinda like her because hell, she is determined now that her ‘bastard’ is finally out of her life. But then, she’s also so… irresponsible. Anyways, she sure is a great mom.
Cree and Dolly are totally irresponsible. I mean, she is like: No, that’s real love, let’s just not think about contraception. Wow. Great. Thanks. So responsible. I’m proud.

The plot was fine but the writing style totally ruined it for me.

I enjoyed the story but I felt it needed more at times. Things would happen and then the story would just move on with no further explanation.
