I’m terrified of what’s going to happen. I think this series is going to break my heart . I cried 2 times while reading this book and nothing bad has happened yet! Jem, my dear boy he deserves the whole world and will, well gotta love Herondales and their self destruction. Please cassie don’t break my heart

I really really enjoyed this book. I loved that it took place during a different time - reading about the Shadowhunters in the 1800's was really interesting and I love how Cassandra tied the characters into the Mortal Instruments.

I love Tessa! I'm happy that the main character isn't a shadowhunter in this series. However, the similarities between Will and Jace had my head spinning - but you'll have to read the book to understand :)

In true Cassandra fashion theres a love triangle, action, emotions, and tragedy… definitely love this new series and take on the shadowhunter world!

This series has some of my favorite work of Cassandra Clare's, I really enjoy the love triangle, and honestly it's just really great.

When I first read this it was a five star (like a lot of stuff I first read was), but upon reread it is a four. I enjoy that I am getting more of the story by reading the books the way that Cassandra Clare recommends I do still have dislikes. I really enjoy the look back at different generations of Shadowhunters and a look into Magnus' relationship with Camille and kind of why he didn't like shadowhunters, other than being a warlock.

My heart broke for Sophie when she saw Agatha killed in front of her and then learning that Thomas was also killed. I think she had feelings for Thomas, but said that she didn't because of what happened with Will.
