I both eye-read and listened to this book, however, it was not one of my favorite Tana French novels. I gave it 2 stars because it was OK, but not great.
Tana French has such a knack for ripping your heart out. She's done it again. Not my favorite book in the series, but not my least favorite.

One of the strongest entries in the Dublin Murder Squad series. Really enjoyed the weaving together of different timelines.
This author continues to render me dazzled with emotions. My favorites were the first three in the series, but this gave me more feels than the fourth. Truly hypnotic, emotional and beautifully written.
This one gets five stars. The author did an incredible job exploring what it means to have friends, how it affects your personality and your actions. Not just as a teenager but as an adult.
Deeply disturbing. I loved the language in this book. I clocked the murderer towards the front half of the book but there were enough red herrings that I wasn’t sure I had it figured out at all.

My favorite Tana French so far. I enjoyed the alternating chapters between the two time periods. I guessed the murderer about a third of the way into the book but that's ok since the story itself was so compelling. I liked that we didn't have a lot of detective backstory but jumped right into the plot.
