I am enjoying the War of Lost Hearts series, but this book felt tediously long at some points. However, I liked how the story progressed, I didn’t see half the plot twists coming and I appreciate how the characters developed throughout this sequel. I think my favorite part of this book were Aefa’s chapters, they added depth and some much needed background to the story.

the first 75% of this book was painful and long. I didn't understand the war. the final 25% was way better, but arguably more confusing. Im confused.

While it took a bit for me to get into this book, once it did it had me hooked! So many well earned plot twists, character developments, and thought-provoking commentary about what depths we are willing to go to “do right.”
