At the beginning I was so confused by the book, by what was going on, who this new character was. But let me tell you when it gets good, it gets good. I cried a few times, laughed. Max is up there in the Top 10 book boyfriends list.

I really wished I liked this series more. There are many complex characters, but the story felt extremely disjointed in this book. There is such a thing as trying to cram to much into one book. The romance in this book doesn't add to the story for me, I think if it was left out entirely that we would reach a similar conclusion. I think the biggest downfall of this series for me is that I am struggling to get into the writing style, it is just a bit dry to me. I love all the detail, but the conversations are flat and the progression is slow.
I will probably finish the last book in the series to try everything together, but I'm not excited to go into this conclusion.
