I hated this book so much. It was a really beautifully-written depressing ass book. I don’t get why so many people love it?! It starts out sad and then gets worse and worse as the book continues with absolutely no happy parts at all!! Like whyyyy?!?!?! Where the Red Fern Grows is happier than this book and it has literal animal death which is the worst.
I will for sure be coming back to the series at some point! Not sure when, but it's going to happen!

This book was a struggle to read. I skimmed roughly 50% of it, otherwise I would have DNFed it.
It finally gets good around 70% and the ending was amazing. I hope the next book with is almost 800 pages isn't filled with all that bullshit.
