I loved this one! I wasn’t sure what to expect, since the plot seems clear from the title and cover- but the story and characters really held my interest. Cute love story and perfect ending! But not too cheesy for my taste.

This book was so charming! It had all the warm and fuzzy feels of a Hallmark movie! The plot was a bit predictable, but it still felt cozy and fun. Ruby and Brochan’s relationship was so sweet, but it made Ruby and Anne’s friendship fall flat in comparison. Overall, this book made me want to pick up my life and move to Scotland!

The authors emphasis on Ruby leaving the city behind for the Scottish countryside had me wishing there was more of a focus on Ruby’s finding herself journey and cooking stories rather than the romance plot line. The correspondence letters came out of nowhere and I may be biased against miscommunication tropes. Otherwise, it was a lighthearted read with an original storyline.
