When Avery needs help funding her dream restaurant, Emmett Rhodes has an idea. He wants to be mayor but his chances are slim unless he can prove he’s settled. Fake date Avery and he’ll pay for the restaurant. Avery has never liked him, so she’s hesitant. But gives in to fake date, then fake engagement, then fake wedding. Of course faking becomes real and they fall in love. At least they communicated it.

Took a bit to hook me in because Avery’s hate for Emmett seemed a bit forced, but I really did enjoy it once things got going between the two of them. Good spicy scenes and overall sweet and easygoing. My biggest complaint is that I didn’t feel like we got a lot of development in Avery and Emmett’s relationship, they started the fake relationship and then seemed to very quickly fall into liking each other without getting to see that play out as much as I would have liked. Cute but a bit flat.
