Beautiful writing and a compelling story. I love this positive outlook on life after loss and illness and that there are second (and third) chances even in your 70s.
I love her and her sisters writing enough that I was interested in this story, but it did drag a little bit, which I feel bad saying because it is her life. So overall good

I enjoyed reading this memoir from Nora Ephron's sister. I picked on some of the same sensibilities from Nora's writing but was delighted to find a unique perspective from Delia. She communicated about love and loss with so much tenderness. This is a book I appreciated reading as a young person, but hope to revisit throughout the changing stages of my life.

Finished reading at 2 am. Lovely, devastating, real, raw, inspiring, heartbreaking, uplifting. A difficult read at times, as it's triggering if you've been through similar or have watched a loved one fight for their life. Yet there's so much hope and love it in. A beautiful celebration of living.
Reading this I can tell that Nora and Delia are sisters. They share the same dry wit and hilarious relatability in their writing.
This book is a nice catalogue of one woman’s coming to terms with grief and loss and dealing with potential illness. Both topics that are very close to my heart and my own life experience. From fighting with the phone company to kill a lost loved ones account to figuring out how to operate in the world again, this book is perfect for those who have lost someone because it makes you both laugh at these ridiculous parts of the process and acknowledge the hard moments. There were moments that dragged a bit but otherwise a breezy and quick read.
4/5 stars!
