Delia Ephron takes us on her journey after the death of her beloved sister, Nora and later her husband, Jerry. She finds love again at the age of 72 and the story of this is miraculous. But she also becomes ill shortly after meeting and falling in love with Peter. AML, a form of acute Leukemia, will claim her life unless she goes through a stem cell transplant. She gives us an intimate account of this whole process and the amazing doctors, friends, sisters, and husband who are devoted to her every step of the way.
I cheered her on as she went through this daunting experience. So happy with each positive step and to see her come through it all.
Highly recommend.

I picked up this memoir not really knowing anything about Delia Ephron or the book.  Basically it is during her life when her 1st husband passes away and she gets sick with leukemia.  The overall memoir was just ok for me.  Not really recommended by me.

Absolutely beautiful memoir of love and hope and new beginnings. I feel so invested in Delia’s life now, I hope for only the best for her. She has had her share of difficulties, but may we all end up so lucky.

I love the Ephron sisters, so I’m definitely biased. This one was heavy but the cast of characters (who are actually real people) give me hope. The whole story of Peter and Delia is straight up from one of Nora’s works. Equal parts incredible and unbelievable how anyone ever finds each other, especially later in life.
